Ford Hybrid Technologies

While the rest of the iRoadTrip crew was able to enjoy SXSW, I had to drive the Ford Escape back to its home in Detroit. When back at Ford headquarters, I had a chance to sit down with Greg Frenette of the Ford’s Sustainable Technology Division. Greg provides a great overview and then a tour of their garage where I got to see the future of our own garages! Enjoy!

The Garage Tour: Great overview of Ford’s Hydrogen vehicles and the challenges they face – it is amazing that they have 30 hydrogen vehicles on the road today with over 1 million miles! This video focuses on one of these and what they have learned to push these innovations forward.

Ford’s Scott Monty on Innovation & Social Media

The iRoadTrip team caught up with Scott Monty of Ford at SXSW, who oversees the company’s social media initiatives. We had a chance to speak with him about innovation, social media, and his various initiatives and challenges.  While Scott really well articulates the programs he has put together at Ford, I especially liked his comments on the innovative culture at Ford and its leadership – enjoy!
